Version 1 · 16 October 2026
Please read this agreement before you install or use CabCarveCNC. By installing the Software, starting the free trial or entering a Licence Key, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
1.1 This agreement is between Peter Olijnyk, a sole trader trading as CabCarveCNC of Berridale NSW (we, us, our), and the person or business that installs or buys the Software (you, your).
1.2 If you accept this agreement for a business, you confirm you are allowed to bind that business, and "you" means that business.
1.3 You accept this agreement when you first do any of these: install the Software, start the free trial, enter a Licence Key, or pay for a licence.
| Software | The CabCarveCNC program, its libraries, catalogues, textures and models, the Documentation, and any Updates we give you. |
|---|---|
| Licence Key | The code we send you after payment that unlocks your Edition. |
| Edition | The version you bought: Shop (commercial use) or Home (personal use). |
| Updates | New versions, fixes and new options we choose to release for the Software. |
| Output | What you make with the Software: jobs, drawings, quotes, cut lists, labels, optimiser layouts, CNC programs (G-code), DXF and PDF files. |
| Documentation | The user manual, training videos and help we publish for the Software. |
| Computer | One Windows PC that the Software is installed on. |
3.1 When you have paid in full, we give you a perpetual (never-ending), non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software, subject to this agreement. There is no subscription. The licence does not stop working when Updates stop.
3.2 Shop Edition. You may use the Software for your business, including work you charge customers for, on up to 2 Computers at the same time (for example one in the office and one in the workshop), by you and your staff.
3.3 Home Edition. You may use the Software for your own home and personal projects only, on 1 Computer. You must not use the Home Edition to make or quote work for paying customers. Printed pages may carry a personal-use mark. You may upgrade to the Shop Edition at any time by paying the difference in price.
3.4 You may make backup copies of the Software and your Licence Key for your own use.
3.5 We sell you a licence to use the Software. We do not sell you the Software itself.
4.1 You may try the Software free for 15 days from first install, to see if it suits you.
4.2 During the trial, printing, exporting and making CNC programs are locked until you buy a licence. Everything else works.
4.3 The trial is given as it is, for evaluation only. To the extent the law allows, we give no promises about it.
4.4 When the trial ends, the Software stays installed but stops working until you enter a Licence Key. Your jobs stay on your Computer.
Except where the law allows it regardless of this agreement, you must not:
6.1 Your Licence Key is made for you and shows the name you bought under. It works offline: the Software does not need the internet to check it.
6.2 Keep your Licence Key safe. If you lose it, email us and we will send it again after checking your purchase.
6.3 New computer. If you replace a Computer, you may move your licence to the new one. Remove the Software from the old Computer first.
6.4 If a Licence Key is shared or published in breach of section 5, we may cancel it and stop issuing Updates to it. We will email you first and give you a chance to explain.
7.1 The Software is ours. We (and the people we license parts from) own all rights in the Software, including copyright, the CabCarveCNC name and logo, and the libraries we made. Nothing in this agreement transfers them to you.
7.2 Your work is yours. You own your jobs, drawings, quotes, your own library items and every Output you make. We claim no rights in them.
7.3 Ideas you send us. If you suggest a change or new option, we may use the idea in the Software without paying you or naming you.
8.1 The Software includes open-source components and free (public domain) pictures. Each is used under its own licence, listed in the Software's folder. Those licences apply to those parts and nothing in this agreement limits your rights under them.
8.2 Supplier hardware and board catalogues in the Software are included with the supplier's permission. Product names, codes, sizes and prices come from the supplier; check them with your supplier before you order. Prices you enter are your own.
8.3 Brand and product names belong to their owners. Their use does not mean those owners endorse the Software.
9.1 Updates are free. While we keep developing the Software, Updates to your Edition are free. We decide what goes into each Update and when it is released. We do not promise any particular new option or date.
9.2 Some Updates may change how the Software works or looks. Keep a backup of your jobs and settings before you install one (the Software can make backups for you).
9.3 Support is by email to support@cabcarvecnc.com.au, in business hours (Australian Eastern time). We will make reasonable efforts to help, but we do not promise a response time or that every problem can be fixed.
9.4 Support covers using the Software. It does not cover setting up, repairing or programming your CNC machine, your computer or other programs.
10.1 The Software makes drawings, cut lists and CNC programs from the settings, sizes and machine set-up you enter. It cannot see your machine, your tooling, your material or the job on site. You are responsible for every Output you use.
10.2 Before you cut, you must:
10.3 CNC machines, saws and other workshop equipment can cause serious injury and damage. Only trained people should run them, with the guards and safety equipment the maker requires.
10.4 Quotes, prices, hardware lists and benchtop sizes made by the Software are estimates from your own prices and settings. Check them before you give them to a customer or order materials.
11.1 Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
11.2 Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts or changes those rights, or any other right that the law says cannot be excluded. Sections 12 and 13 apply only as far as the law allows.
11.3 Change of mind. Because you can try the full Software free for 15 days before you buy, we do not give refunds for change of mind. This does not affect 11.1.
12.1 Apart from the guarantees in section 11, the Software is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be free of errors, work without interruption, suit every machine or controller, or that every Output will be correct.
12.2 Business customers. Where the Software is not of a kind ordinarily bought for personal, domestic or household use (for example the Shop Edition), our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited, at our choice, to supplying the Software again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
12.3 To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including:
12.4 To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with the Software or this agreement is limited to the price you paid for your licence.
12.5 Our liability is reduced to the extent your loss was caused by you not following section 10.
13.1 You agree to cover us for any claim, loss or cost (including reasonable legal costs) that a third party, such as your customer, brings against us because of:
13.2 This does not apply to the extent the loss was caused by our own negligence or breach.
14.1 Your jobs, settings, customer details and library stay on your Computer (and in the backup folder you choose). The Software does not send them to us.
14.2 If you use Report a problem, the Software packs your job, settings and an error log into a file and shows you what is in it. It is sent to us only if you choose to send it. We use it only to fix the problem and delete it when we are done.
14.3 We keep your name, email, business details and purchase record to issue and support your licence. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
14.4 You are responsible for your own backups and for the privacy of your customers' details on your Computer.
15.1 You may end this agreement at any time by removing the Software from your Computers.
15.2 We may end your licence by email if you seriously breach this agreement (for example by sharing your Licence Key or using the Home Edition for paid work) and, where it can be fixed, you do not fix it within 14 days of our email.
15.3 When the agreement ends you must stop using the Software and remove it. Your jobs and Outputs stay yours.
15.4 Sections 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 17 keep applying after the agreement ends.
16.1 Your licence is for you. If you sell your business, you may transfer the licence to the buyer if you ask us first in writing. We will not unreasonably refuse.
16.2 After a transfer you must remove the Software from your Computers, and we will issue a new Licence Key in the buyer's name. The buyer must accept this agreement.
16.3 We may transfer our rights and duties under this agreement to anyone who takes over the Software, as long as your rights under it are not reduced.
17.1 Law. This agreement is governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. You and we accept the courts of New South Wales.
17.2 Whole agreement. This agreement, with your purchase receipt, is the whole agreement about the Software.
17.3 If a part does not work. If a court finds part of this agreement cannot be enforced, that part is read down or left out and the rest still applies.
17.4 Changes. We may update this agreement for new versions of the Software. A change applies to you only from the next Update you choose to install, and never reduces your licence for the version you already have.
17.5 Waiver. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
17.6 Notices. We send notices to the email you bought with. You send notices to support@cabcarvecnc.com.au.
17.7 Contact. CabCarveCNC, Berridale NSW 2628, support@cabcarvecnc.com.au, cabcarvecnc.com.au.
